The current time is 2:42am on Friday August 5th (PST) I have been programming since about 10pm this evening. 4 almost 5 straight hours of coding, woot! Ok that (the woot) was geeky and I admit it; I apologize it won't happen again. For the past several weeks (months?) I have been designing, programming, editting and installing two websites. Tonight marks the major milestone of being over 90% done with the coding on both of them. I'm done programming until I arrive on the east coast and settle in somewhere; which could be a while.

The first website, which took priority over the other, was Alice's new website. I completely revamped it using Jetbox CMS as the backend integrated with Gallery. It was all mixed together with a lot of custom HTML, jscript and PHP programming.

Check it out at: newsite.aliceengelhardt.com (popup)

The second website was my own. When my server died a few months ago I decided to take the opportunity to revamp the entire website and server. All of my sites are now hosted by reyox.net and I am no longer running my own servers. The service and options available from reyox.net are awesome; I'm extremely happy with them. Ok so I not only took everything off my server but I also redid the entire site (as you can see). It took me a long time to get all of the HTML right and the new design has a lot more functionality that I had previously. Unfortunately I am not using any of the functionality right now.

In time.... In time....

You'll notice that the Music, Videos and Favorites sections are completely empty and that the links page has only a few items. This is where I plan to add a lot of my stuff BUT I don't have the time right now. I am much too busy preparing to move across the country. I had no idea how much work it would take just to move myself across the country but I am prepared now and ready to go.

Crap, I'm tired. I'm going to bed.

Website checklist before I leave

Add albums/photos to the gallery (I have some cool new pics)

Import all the prior blog entries

Import all the former blog images

I've decided to not restore my massive photo gallery. Too many irrelevant photos. I'm going to be picky on what I decide to upload. I am going to start with some newer photos and then leave room for pics from my cross country trip.

That's it.. The rest is going to be left as is until I find the time to fix it.
