My first bike in Beijing

I have been in China now for about 3 months and I finally purchased my very own bike. Although its the middle of winter and I can't ride it that often it is still nice to own a bike. Beijing is the "Kingdom of Bicycles" and I LOVE IT. Now if it'll stay that way with car ownership on the rise I don't know but I hope it will.

Howdy, Loved the vide on buying a bike in china.

I'm an old school videoblogger and wanted to subscribe to your feed but they seem to be completely broke... err.. they're 404's. If you have any trouble perhaps I can recommend blip.tv for hosting. They not only do transcoding to flash (better for browser playback) but also automatic cross posting to your blog and of course they have RSS feeds should you have further trouble with yours.

Please respond here, I track my comments with co.mments.com

RSS feed is fixed I had one extra e in geek ;)

I love Blip.tv but they are blocked in China as are most videosharing sites from time to time. Although blip.tv has been consistently blocked and I can't recall a time when they weren't so...

so sad the state of things.. c'est la vie I guess.

Why? Why is it banned? I gotta check it out
love you!!

BTW, I thought I should mention. I know a few english speaking videobloggers in Japan (i.e. http://www.bicycle-sidewalk.com ), but so far you're the first english speaking videoblogger I know in China. I love the cross cultural insights. Oh... and also an huge open source software fan. I noticed that in your bio. While I primarily use my mb pro 17" mac, I also run KDE on it and my primary desktop is Ubuntu 8.04, am testing, because it's FUN. :)

Just thought you might find that interesting.

Wow, you seem to have two domain names and two designs with the same content. THat confused the heck out of me

Same post, different site:

I like the wiredgeek design much better. Very nice. Especially the nice big image / video placements that play in place.

BTW, I'm an active biker... in fact I was just headed out the door. Nothing would please me more then more riding videos of china.

BTW, you should check out the travel video blog for expedition 360. Guy just finished a 12 year human powered trip around the world. Mostly by bike. Great videos of him going throught the himalayas.

Peace,

-Mike
