Thanksgiving in China

This thanksgiving we are, again, far away from the family. This time we're in Beijing, China. As Thanksgiving is an American holiday (for obvious reasons) we were not able to celebrate in the traditional fashion. As a substitute for turkey we went out for Peking duck! Afterwards as an insanely special treat we went to Haggen-Daaz!

Haggen-Daaz is incredibly expensive in China as they do it all fancy-like. Diana and I decided that it was a special occasion and we were "treating" ourselves. I may be hyper-critical of the U.S and its current policies but I'm still a proud American and will take the time to celebrate the holidays. Of course what makes me proud to be an American is my ability to change the policies! 2008 is just around the corner!
